Cheer Bucket using Cricut Explorer
A couple weeks ago I posted about my new cricket machine and some little make up bags that I made for a friend and her daughters cheerleading squad. The Makeup bags were used to go into this little cheer bucket full of goodies for the kiddos. She wanted to do personalized buckets to give the girls their gifts in. The cheer squad’s colors are orange and purple so I knew this was the perfect opportunity to use the purple glitter vinyl I have been saving!

I’m still new to using my cricket but this was a pretty easy project that I figured out pretty quickly. I did a quick search for cheer and the design space and found this cute little megaphone. I sort of designed the rest of the design out on this page so I could decide how it was going to look before I printed it all out. It was pretty easy – just cutting vinyl and sticking it on.
- glitter vinyl
- permanent vinyl
- cricut mat
- buckets (I got these at Hobby Lobby)
- strong grip transfer tape

Then I printed out a number of megaphones just the right size for the buckets. I did these for two different squads because she has two girls on two different cheerleading squads. I used the silver glitter vinyl for the gray cheer buckets and the purple glitter vinyl for the white buckets. I found that using strong grip transfer tape works way better when working with the glitter vinyl.

After I printed out the megaphones and stuck them on to the cheer buckets and then printed out the word “impulse” and then the names. Once I had the wording on there I needed to embellish it a little more so I decided to use the stars and the little pom-poms. I found the pom-poms by searching for cheer in design space again and the star was under the shape category.

in order to save space I was able to rearrange the different images on different pages so that I can print a bunch of the same thing out at a time. Since I was doing multiple buckets, I duplicated the megaphone once I had the size that I wanted and after I clicked make it I rearrange them in the design space so that I could fit more on each page. I love the glitter vinyl but I want to get the most out of it!

Like I said, pretty easy little starter project that turned out really cute! Have any questions? Have you made little cheer buckets or anything similar? Sound off below!
