Courtyard Makeover – Spring 2017 One Room Challenge – Week 3
Hello and welcome back! It’s week 3 of the One Room Challenge from Calling it Home that means we are HALFWAY through with our courtyard makeover. WHAT?? It doesn’t feel like I’m halfway done. We have had some rain and of course, a few setbacks. But, that is all par for the course, right? Not too much to update you on, but first, let’s look at where we started.
What an overgrown and messy way to greet our guests! Well, last week we got the rock wall up and you can read all about that here. This week I had to move pieces of it to make way for our new posts lights from LampsPlus that I’m so excited about. I had to have an electrician out to run electricity out here. That’s one DIY I won’t do myself.
So, tomorrow I can get the concrete poured and tops put on. They will be so pretty!
Also, if you are following me on Instagram, you might have seen the patio faux rug I painted. It turned out so great! I almost didn’t’ do it because I was worried about how it would turn out, but I love it.
I’ll have details soon and I’ve talked with one of my awesome sponsors, Quikrete, to do all the steps to make it last as long as possible. I love love love it.
The other thing I did was build the table for this area. I just poured the concrete for the top, and I can’t wait for you guys to see the base. I’m working with my friend Adam from Lazy Guy DIY and he designed the base for me and it’s so different than any table base I’ve ever done and I LOVE it!
Please stop by and give my sponsors some love, I am so impressed with them all! I can’t wait to show you guys how it’s all pulled together.

That’s about it for the courtyard makeover this week. Painting the concrete and building the table took up most of my week. Hopefully next week we will have dirt and plants put in (fingers crossed). I’m posting a lot of sneak peek and videos over on Instagram, so make sure to follow along to get the first views of all my projects.
Thanks for stopping by!

What a tease with the table! Working on outdoor projects adds a lot of difficulty, and soon enough you’ll be enjoying the space 🙂
TRUTH! Thanks Nicole 🙂
