Courtyard Makeover – Week 4 – ORC Spring 2017

Hello and welcome back!  It’s week 4, which means that it’s coming down to the wire on our courtyard makeover.  Unfortunately, I don’t have much to report because it’s been a rainy week around here. We did get a couple of things done, but the next two weeks are going to be a total race to the finish.  Luckily the forecast is much nicer looking for next week, so hopefully, it will all come together soon.

So, in case you are just joining me, I’m in the middle of the One Room Challenge from Calling it Home.  A bunch of us bloggers have joined in the challenge to makeover a room in just 6 weeks.  It’s so fun to participate in, and it makes me get the work done in a timely fashion.

Most of Monday, we shoveled dirt.  Fun, fun.  I really thought we were going to be able to just push this dirt out of the back, but that was just a weird pipe dream I had.  After shoveling out 4 truckloads full, we had to get back to life.  Tomorrow we will have to get 2 more loads and then hopefully we’ll be done with the dirt.

Then it will be time for the rock, which will probably be even worse. I did get a couple of plants in, just to give myself a little glimpse at what it would look like.

The most exciting thing that happened this week is that I got my new lamp post installed from LampsPlus.  They completely change the look of the area and I LOVE them!  More pics to come.

I got the table top poured and dried.  Unfortunately, I used too much water and it cracked before it dried.  However, after a conversation with my friends over at Quikrete, I think we are going to be able to fix it and it might even look super cool with the cracks.  I think it’s sort of funky looking.

Okay, well not much this week, but we are SLOWLY moving along.  I couldn’t do this makeover without the help of my awesome sponsors, so please head over and give them some love!  They are all amazing.
