Favorite Things & Wish List 2018!
I’ve got a list of my most recommended products to try and make your holiday shopping a little easier with my favorite things 2018 edition!
It’s time to start shopping! I love Christmas shopping, but I’m always looking for things that people really feel like they are happy they spent the money on. I have so many things that I feel like were a waste of money (hello air fryer…) but these are my favorite things – the things I am so glad I bought. They make life just a little easier…and more fun!

One of my favorite things, especially since I have 3 dogs that shed even when it’s 15 degrees out. I love this little appliance and you can read more on which one I have and my other thoughts on it here.
RYOBI One+ System – Various Tools
No doubt my most used tools in the shed are my Ryobi hand tools. I use the drill and corner sander all the time. If I HAD to pick a top three, I would add the jigsaw. I can’t tell you how much I use those three things and the ease of not having cords to get in the way makes it amazing. Don’t forget you’ll need a battery and charger but the one battery can be used across the entire line of RYBOI One+ tools.
Nope, not for the kids but for me. I love my Christmas Legos especially the Creator winter set. Every year, right after Thanksgiving company leaves and I have an “April” day when the kids go back to school. I watch Love Actually and maybe a few Hallmark type movies and put together my Christmas Lego village. It is one of my top 5 favorite days of the year.
My bestie from Virginia visited this summer and I noticed she had a phone wallet and I liked the idea and wanted to try it out. I ordered one and I actually love it. I hardly carry a purse anymore, just my phone wallet.
The Happy Planner
Okay, so I know I’m like “this is my favorite” but this is a a favorite things post! And this is my favorite planner I’ve ever had. I know most of us still like to have a planner, even with all the online schedulers, I still like to have all my stuff written down. I have the full size, and I have all kinds of papers paper clipped and this is where I take notes for everything.
We got this for the tailgate to haul our stuff and we have loved it. We use it around the house all the time. I love that the sides can come off and it’s great for doing and moving yard work as well as haul the tailgate stuff to our spot. It’s large and holds a ton.
I received this printer for Mother’s Day and it’s one of those few appliances that actually works like you expect it to. I can print from my phone, computer, even if someone else wants to print from their device, we have never had a problem with it “finding” the printer wirelessly. I print out photos from IG for inspiration for my own home and hang them up all over my office, as well as kids paperwork and everything else you could think of.
PetSafe Wireless Containment System
This is the item I most recommend in real life. With 3 dogs, living next to a field full of mice, rabbits and the dreaded coyotes, we had a lot of running. The dogs would literally break through the fence and take off. After discussing with our vet, she told us it was much safer to have an electric containment for them. I love this one because there is no burying of anything. It so easy. Just plug it in, set the area and if they are inside the circle they are fine. They get a warning tone when they get close to the boundary and that keeps them from getting shocked. I love that I can transport it with me – I take this with me when we go to friends houses, even out to the tailgate. After buying the system, you can buy extra collars for all the dogs and you can even buy more systems that pair together to make your running area larger. It’s seriously my top favorite thing.
I’ve heard so many great things about the iPad pro and I think this would be a great addition to my ever growing Apple family. I’m a full Apple convert and I love having full control over everything in the house. MUH HAHAHA!
Our daughter has sensory needs and when she was much younger we bought her a weighted blanket and she still sleeps with this thing every night. And when she isn’t home, we may steal this thing a use it. It’s so great, and we’ve been talking for years about getting a king sized blanket for our bed. Maybe one day…
And one more plug, if you are looking for some amazing stuff you need to check out my two blogger friends stores. Kati from Houseful of Handmade sells some amazing kits for making your own DIY projects and Amy of My Life from Home has a great new online store called White Cottage Home and it’s perfect for checking off those holiday gifts you know you need :). Go check out both of these awesome new stores!
