Hall Bath Makeover – One Room Challenge Week 3
Hello and welcome back!  I can not believe it is week 3!!  In case you missed it, I’m participating in a six-week challenge – the One Room Challenge by Calling it Home.  I completely gutted the hall bath that needed a makeover in the worst way. I thought I had so much time, but here I am – sweating it out and super stressed I won’t be able to finish on time.  Not a lot got done this week because I had a couple of setbacks.  I did get the floor installed, which turned out to be a chore – but it’s in.  Except I did make a mistake and some tiles have to come up ARG!  More about that later.

FINAL REVEAL!!!
So, the idea was to use wood grain tile to make a seamless entry walk in shower, replacing the existing bath & shower combo.  So, that is done (sort of – with the exception of the ones that have to be re-laid.  Again – UGH). It was quite cumbersome to cut these tiles to lay flat on the shower pan floor.
The angles – oh how hard they were to get just right so that all the lines looked straight! This is probably why people don’t use wood grain tile on shower floors. I’m going to write a full post on how to do it very soon.
Hopefully, the rest of the room won’t be so hard to finish :).
Since I don’t have many fun photos to share this week I decided to share with you guys my inspiration photos. Â For some strange reason, I want to go super dark in this small room. Â I love the industrial vibe of this room.
Blacks and dark grays with natural wood tones make me happy.
I have struggled with this decision.  I have gone back and forth on whether or not I could paint this small room black a million times.  My friend Kim from Knock it Off Kim got exactly one million texts and phone calls.  By the way, you should totally go check out her game room makeover, it’s going to be great! Maybe I should go more light blues and white?

But, my heart was set on the blacks and grays. Â So, yesterday I bit the bullet and bought the paint. Â Black, dark gray and white. Â Here we go!
Here is what I still have left to do.
- paint
- tile walls
- build vanity
- decorate
That seems like not too much, but the tiling and building a vanity are going to take a while because I’m slow!!! Â Three-week countdown has begun. Here is my original mood board for the bath makeover.
Let’s see how close I can get. Thanks to my sponsors, hopefully soon I can showcase these amazing products!
