Holiday Card Holder – A Quick & Easy DIY
Hello and welcome back! I still love getting Christmas cards. It makes me feel like a kid again, getting cards and seeing everyone’s families and sweet messages. I know we have social media and are more connected than ever, but there is still something about a card that is so fun and makes the holiday season special. This year, since we love them so much, we decided that we should hang them. So, I came up with this little quick and easy holiday card holder.
I had this idea last year, but never followed through on it. I had a couple of leftover wood panels from my mixed wood wall that I decided to use. They are super cheap panels and you can get a whole pack of 6 for around $10 at the hardware store.
You could also use a piece of thin molding or any other piece of leftover thin board. Next, I measured and drew a straight line down the middle of the board.
Duct tape is a cheap and they make so many fun patterns, you could do almost anything with it. I grabbed 3 rolls in the glittery line – black, white and blue.
Then, I just taped them to the board using the line in the middle to get it even.
I hung them on the entryway columns with command strips. You can hang them anywhere. I walked around the main room here and found a bunch of places they would look good, but the columns won out.
I found some wooden clothes pins in the craft section at Wal-Mart and used the white glitter tape to jazz them up a bit.
And that’s it! See how easy? I love how they perk up the entryway a bit.
So, how do you feel about Christmas cards? Do you still send them? Do you like getting them?
Thanks for stopping by!
