Inspirational Hallways to Swoon Over with Me
Hello and welcome back! I’m still redoing the hall bath, but since I basically live in the hallway now it’s got me daydreaming about how I’m going to spruce it up. Let me tell you, as well as puke green goes with the faded orange and yellowing white, I’m thinking maybe, just maybe, a fresh coat of paint will be nice. But you know, I’m probably not going to stop at a coat of paint. Especially after waiting for my kids to get done with gymnastics and perusing Pinterest. I came up with some ideas and wanted to share with you some of the inspriational hallways I found.
So, here is my hallway now. So inspiring, huh?
I still can’t figure out why that green with those orange floors.
If you’ve been following along in the bath remodel, you know I’m going modern blacks and gray with natural wood tones. I’m hoping this will tie into my living area well, but who knows. I never really know what I’m doing. My hallway is hard because it has a lot of doors and not a lot of wall space. Here is what I’m thinking. Mirrors – a mirror would be nice. These are both so cool.

Maybe I’ll hang one right above the dog door. Why is there a dog door? I don’t’ know, but I tell ya, it works. That’s the laundry room/dog supply and food room.
Speaking of the laundry room, I would love to build a sliding door for in front of the laundry room. It’s the perfect space because it’s not a private area (like a bathroom) where you would want a door that was sealed plus it has plenty a space behind the door at the end to slide when it’s open. Here is a great example of a sliding door in the hallway from my friend Emily over at Our House Now a Home.

Also, this is a great barn door.

That ceiling and those windows…swoon swoon.
I love the idea of the planked ceiling, but also a planked black wood wall. I think this would go great with the gray hardwood tile I plan on eventually continuing on from the bathroom.

Because there is not a lot of wall space, I love this idea of the corner pictures. So cool!!

After saving images on Pinterest for while, I have discovered that I love black hallways.

However, I think with the black small bathroom, it might be super cool if I flipped it and went stark white with black highlights.

Or I could do half and half. (Hint, hint…I’m LOVING this idea).

And I love the simplicity of this one.

Or painting one side with a cool concrete finish.

Of course, I think lighting will make such a dramatic difference. How cool are those shadows?

This one feels like a fairy wonderland.

Ah, I’m so inspired that I am ready to give up on the bathroom and start on the hallway. This is what always happens to me!
