Modern Master Bedroom Reveal

It’s reveal day!  I love reveal day.  It’s so fun, and it means that the hard work is done.  It’s finally time to relax in the space.  Like most of my projects, I feel like I’ve been working on this modern master bedroom FOREVER.  It’s actually legit been about 9 months.  Because I’m slow as all get out.  I’ll have posts upcoming about how I built the bed, nightstands and that cool built-out with with TV and fireplace soon(ish).

Anyone remember the before?  The purple cave nightmare?  I honestly can’t believe the change. Keep scrolling to see all the before and afters.

After nine months of working on this project, I've finally converted this purple cave to a modern master bedroom that we love! Details ONLY at UncookieCutter.com

The first thing I did in this room was the accent wall behind the bed. It was actually super easy and I’ll have a post very soon all about how I did it. After that was done, I made the bed and nightstands to fit perfectly in this little space.

I also wanted to add a little bench in that nook on the left with the window. Not for sitting on, but to hold pillows so they don’t have to be thrown on the floor. I am actually so glad I built this little bench, it’s so convenient to throw the extra pillows there when it’s time to crawl under the covers.

After the bed area was built, I built the “built-out” to hold the fireplace, TV and logs. Admidately, the logs are just there to bring some texture and color to the room – the fireplace is gas. But I love the way they look! I’ll have more details on this whole wall soon!

After all the building, there was just painting and accessorizing – the fun part :). Shop the post coming very soon!

It’s so moody and cozy in here at night I wanted to get a few nighttime shots of the room.

I love the reflection of the bed in the fireplace.

A few thank yous – a huge shout out to Mitch Harrison Photography for the awesome photos. My friend Karyl of Karyl’s Kulinary Krusade, who helped me pick out furniture and Kim of Knock it Off Kim, who helped me by talking me threw almost every decision. She rocks!

That’s it for now! Would you do a white bedroom? Let me know by sounding off below!
