Sports Equipment Organization Center
My kiddos sports equipment was driving me crazy, so I whipped up this sports equipment organization center to keep it all under control.
Hello! I’m in the middle of a few different projects and I know things have been quiet on the blog lately BUT I have some exciting things coming soon. But, for now I wanted to share this quick and easy little project with you guys. I had to get the kiddos sports equipment under control. The way we had the sports equipment organized before basically consisted of a large bin. I hate storing stuff in bins. It’s always a mess! Basketballs were all over my garage and I would trip over them all the time while trying to work. Something had to be done.

Here’s the space I had to work with – a little area of my garage that was very good at collecting junk.
I had one wall control pegboard leftover from the art center and I love them so much I decided to order another set. I hung the pegboard first to hold all the gloves, bags and bats. Then I used iron pipe to hold all the millions of basketballs. Of course, I also had to paint everything because the brown on brown was a little too drab for this fun space.
To finish it off, I decided to add a little shelf, mainly to hold the ball pump we use all the time, but I wanted just a touch of decor. I actually found those basketball hoops while making a drop-off at the recycling center and had been holding onto them for a while. I used my x-carve to carve out the kiddos initials and paint the boards and the attach them to the nets.
I love the way it turned out and I love not tripping over basketballs while I’m trying to work anymore. It’s been up about a month and so far everything is staying organized, so win win win!
Eventually I’ll get my whole garage organized! That’s be the day :).
